Information Systems Analyst

Information Systems Analyst will support UNIS Hanoi administrative and financial information systems. The Information System Analyst will investigate issues as they arise and work with SMSIS to develop new workflows and solutions.
Information Systems Analyst will assist with or lead the implementation of new features, troubleshoot issues and support users post implementation. Information Systems Analyst will use best practices and techniques to assess new requests and design the most optimal solution to address the administrative and financial needs of UNIS Hanoi and work collaboratively with other key stakeholders.
Train for data processing and administrative & financial information systems; ensure that system training is provided for all admin staff, parents, and students. S/he must be able to conduct training in a confident and professional manner.
Build database queries; generate and test reports to efficiently and effectively meet the administrative information needs of the school.
Document data dictionary and map data for integration.
Ensure data security and integrity of all administrative and financial systems (design, processes, backups).
Work collaboratively with IT staff to test and authenticate software before integrating other administrative & financial systems into UNIS Hanoi’s main system.
Support with tasks throughout the year such as: Online Enrollment, Re-Enrollment, Technology Orientation for New Parents, Activities Registration, Transporation, Open/Close the school year process, Parents and Staff account management, Staff On-boarding/Off-boarding process, etc.
Act as Portal Admin for Parent and Staff Portals.
Develop, lead, and manage internal documentation related to the School Information System and other administrative and financial systems as directed by the Senior Manager - School Information Systems (SMSIS).
Information Systems Analyst will champion the use of the School Information System. S/he must be sympathetic and empathetic to user frustration and consistently investigate methods to improve user experience. S/he will develop technical applications to support users as needed.
Performs administrative data analysis tasks, which includes compiling and cleaning data, processing and modeling data, analyzing data and data manipulation.
Perform other duties as directed.

1. Key Requirements:
Bachelor degree. Prefer degree and experience in relevant discipline.
Highly proficient user of MS-Excel, Google Sheet, Google Docs and MS-Word. Experience with MS-Access a plus.
Experience with SQL programming and/or MS SQL database.
Experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, business process mapping, data modeling, creating data sets.
Willingness to learn about data conversion process using Data Transformation Services (DTS), Access and MS SQL server.
Experience with data analysis.
Programming and API experience preferred.
Progressive experience in K12 customer facing in a systems support/configuration role.
Ability to lead integration with other systems.

2+ years of project management and implementation experience.
At least one year of working in an international school or highly multicultural environment.
Professional attitude and attire is a must.
Advanced English language skills, both written and oral.
Must be able to handle information in a professional and discreet manner.
Must be able to organize and synthesize complex tasks in a systematic manner. Ability to learn new software and develop procedures to address complex issues.

3. Ideal Requirements:

S/he is able to provide recommendations to manager regarding problems or issues. Is able to anticipate problems and provide solutions to minimize impact of imperfect solutions.
Demonstrates an understanding of stakeholder needs and seeks to maintain a professional relationship with all stakeholders.
Is able to professionally manage vendor relationships.
2+ years experience in training and writing documentation. Able to conduct training in a professional manner and make training relevant to attendees. Be able to coordinate training logistics.
Willingness to think outside of the box and explore alternative solutions.
A positive attitude with insatiable curiosity and a willingness to learn and challenge oneself.
