Indirect Sourcing Specialist

**Position Purpose/Objective (in broad terms describe what the job does and the expected end result)
- Sourcing Specialist will mainly manage sourcing activities for Indirect spend including, but not limited to, identification of business needs, definition of sourcing strategies, development of bid documentation, preparation and execution of bidding, benchmarking, evaluating suppliers and finalize vendor selection decision. In addition, this role will support the local procurement manager on other procurement activities (not limited to Indirect categories) as per request.

- Closely working with BU and functional colleagues to ensure manufacturing sites running smoothly without supply interruption at optimum TCO (total cost of ownership). Meanwhile, internal procedures and external regulatory need to be well followed and ensure the process comply with SHE/quality and other relevant compliance requirement.

**Major Accountabilities (list KEY activities, expected results and the ways results are measured)

SOURCING:
- Ensure sourcing strategies are drafted and executed for all key indirect goods and services within
Country but not limited when Indirect categories are under global scope (Ex: Packaging, IT, Ocean freight,…) based on strong knowledge of internal needs and external factors.
- Manage the indirect spend portfolio and his/her team within Region to ensure balanced workload and maximized synergies.
- Seek synergy, and where appropriate, support, ensuring team works with other functions and others Regions. Manage the cost saving pipeline to ensure regional targets for cost reduction are met.
- Act as primary contact towards key suppliers and develop strong partnerships with these suppliers.
- Make sure supplier performance against agreed upon key performance indicators is reviewed and action plans for continuous improvement are defined.
- Makes sure he/she and his/her team is involved in site cost development and CAPEX plans & projects (from inception to when project is closed out) and ensures that procurement savings initiatives are aligned.

COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION
- Foster problem solving thru cross functional collaboration, and leverage regional indirect manager in driving best practice implementation on Indirect spend.

PROCESSES, PROCEDURES, QUALITY
- Implement P2P process (Procure to Pay) and other global rolled-out practice when relevant to Indirect Procurement.
- Ensure at all times compliance with internal control procedures and other regulatory procedures, ie Code of Conduct, ISO procedures, internal SHE procedures etc.
- Challenge the status quo & promote value creating ideas in daily operations leading to continuous improvement in our procedures and processes.

Education (describe level of education for this position indicating if it is Required or Preferred (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree, Ph.D., Law)
- Minimum Bachelor, in business, chemistry or engineering and/or equivalent by experience
- SAP knowledge is preferable.

Experience (type and length of experience)
- 4-6 years of relevant working experience, including strategic purchasing
- Experience in managing teams, preferably in international environment
- Experience with organizational improvement processes in purchasing and supply chain

Specific skills (skills and knowledge necessary to meet the objectives of the position)
- Solid understanding of the industrial/(petro)chemicals indirect spend , suppliers market for the Region market trends and developments.
- Capability of working in a cross-functional and cross-cultural setting and within a remote network;
excellent negotiation skills, convincing and target minded; good and quick decision maker; planning and implementation skills; due to the variety of tasks, flexibility is mandatory with the capability to set priorities
- Language Skills: Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.

Problem solving (list significant job challenges requiring problem solving skills)
- Development of multi-aspect sourcing scenario’s, balancing purchasing price benefits, rebates, risk management (supply, quality, ..) and working capital.
