Ikea Food Developer

To coordinate with our Warehouse & Logistics partner/Consultant, in ensuring the IKEA Food product range can be legally imported and is sellable and complies with the product requirements according to the national law. And perform all purchasing functions (all local suppliers in Vietnam) in accordance to Ikano Procurement policy.

Your assignment
- Understand markets, our consumers and their needs and use this to support the meeting with our customers through a healthy, safe and good quality product range that is compliant with all national requirements and legislation.
- Ensure we are legally compliant with all product legislations and that methods are in place for monitoring, mapping, follow-up and implementation.
- Identify existing and following the development of proposed or amended national product legislations and standards on importation and to report national product legislations and standards with an analysis of the content and possible implications with sufficient lead time for IKEA to implement any action required to secure compliance;
- Develop good working relationship with national consumer authorities and to be identified as the IKEA Food contact person in all importing matters; including application for promotions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge about IKEA product requirement in Vietnam.
- You are responsible for sourcing of local suppliers according to Ikano's requirement and ensure IWAY compliance for all local suppliers and maintain and ensure that Suppliers documents are updated.
- Ensure all initiatives support the import of IKEA Food products in accordance with the law.
- To control costs through working in a lean, simple, cost-conscious way using best practises andcontinually look to find more effective ways of working.

- You are someone who have ability to quickly develop knowledge of local market and product legislation conditions.
- You are experienced in handling import and compliance issues with external authorities such as FDA.
- You are able to communicate effectively and develop skills for building networks internally and externally.
- You are self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and able to communicate confidently and clearly.
- Experience of working in other retail company and having knowledge of national product legislation, market situation and trends is an advantage.
