IFRS17 Finance Senior Specialist

In May 2017, the International Accounting Standards Board published IFRS 17, a new accounting Standard that fundamentally changes the approach to insurance liability valuation. The Standard is effective on 1 January 2022 and adoption is required for both group and local reporting, in the majority of territories in which Prudential Group operates. IFRS 17 Project is established at Prudential Vietnam to enable the company to report its financial position and financial performance to Regional Head Office following IFRS 17 standard.
Job Responsibilities:
▪ Validate PCA IFRS 17 Playbook
▪ Understand PCA Technical Interpretation Committee's papers (PTIC) for IFRS 17
▪ Assess PVA's current accounting policy against PTIC to produce gaps analysis and local interpretation of the standard and PTIC
▪ Support refinement or development of PTIC positions
▪ Engage with solution workstream to support translation of technical position business requirements as positions are refined ▪ Support operational efficiency improvements in the solution design LBU activities
▪ Produce mapping between PCA Chart of Account and MOF Chart of Account for dual accounting purpose
▪ Establish accounting guidance for local BAU teams
▪ Produce Financial Statements definition - Balance Sheet, Profit or Loss, Notes for disclosure
▪ Assess Data Availability for transition
▪ Engage with actuarial and PCA to produce financial impact assessment for 2018/2019 figures
▪ Produce Opening Balance Figures and assist Group Reporting team for half-year business plan review following IFRS 17
▪ Collect financial MI report requirements and produce template for implementation

Requirements:
• Degree holder major in Accounting or Finance
• 3-4years of working experience in accounting & financial reporting field, preferrably with a Big4 audit first
• Strong technical knowledge in financial accounting, controls and processes, CPA preferred
