HVAC/ Nautical/ Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities:
1. HVAC commissioning engineer
- Measure the air flow in all areas of ships
- Set up and operate frequency drives
- Analyse the performance of HVAC system on board
- Participate during sea trials phase, record functioning of the HVAC system and solve issues that may arise
- Make suggestions/ improvements that can help to reduce operating cost of HVAC system
- Ensure correct completion of HVAC commissioning report and handover to Class/Client
- Liaise with other departments (Piping and HVAC, Engineering, Project management, etc.) such to facilitate efficiently completing all HVAC commissioning tasks.
- Follow maintenance plan of stock vessels in area of HVAC.
- Inspect HVAC system on board to ensure the smooth operation of the system
- Solve issues arise on board & report to the leader when necessary

2. Commissioning Navigation and Radio Communication Engineer
- Check the electrical connection works for proper fitting of connectors, and correct connections to specialized equipment
- Perform specific measurements with specialized equipment to determine proper impedance of antenna systems
- Verify the correct functioning of the Radio Navigation systems, signalling and fixing issues
- Programming equipment and updating software according latest manufacturers requirements, client specific information and regulations
- Participate during sea trials for fine tuning and adjustments of navigation equipment, ensure proper operation and solve issues that may arise
- Prepare and support the Radio Survey inspections for ships to be delivered
- Ensure correct completion of the NAVCOM commissioning report and handover to Class/Client where applicable
- Liaise with main supplier for verifications and feedback on commissioning works performed
- Provides support to Electrical Workshop within the Production department, to ensure proper connection works for all equipment in cable pulling and connections phases
- Checking electrical drawing packages and signalling issues. Providing improvement proposals to the Engineering department

3. Electrical commissioning Engineer
- Set up, operating installations and finishing testing programs following HAT/SAT protocols for electrical systems
- Checking, supporting and coordinating the activity of OEM suppliers during commissioning phase
- Reporting test data in HAT/SAT documents as well as for improvement points/standardisation
- In pre-commissioning phase, doing pre checks for cable installations and completeness of connections to support efficient commissioning of systems
- Checking electrical drawings and signalling issues. Providing improvement proposals to the Engineering department
- Participating at sea trials phase, during Damen Shipyard supply trips of ships to their client destination, solving issues and that may arise

• Education:
- Higher education technical
- HVAC Engineer: College/ University in Engineering discipline. Background in HVAC installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning
Nautical Engineer: Completed specialty studies on electrical and automation, electronics & telecommunication
Electrical Engineer: Completed engineering course, naval architecture or specialty studies on electrical and automation, electronics, telecommunication
• Sufficient written and verbal English
• Experience: More than 01 year experience in relevant position
• Knowledge of Internet and computer technology, network systems is an advantage
