JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager, HR shall provide practical, consistent, proactive support, direction and advice to associates and managers that are fully aligned with the company’s strategic, financial and talent goals. This is a hands-on, solution-focused role that helps drive business results by ensuring our ability to attract, engage and develop the best talent in retail.
The job holder will support the Director, Operations to optimize regional and country-specific labor laws to best support our growth plans; with focus on Vietnam while providing support to Thailand & Philippines. He/she will assist in developing HR infrastructure required to support a global organization, including but not limited to policies and procedures, record retention requirements, hiring practices, and performance management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional and Country-specific Labor Practices:
• Maintain and understand regional and country-specific labor laws and labor practices; especially for our operations in Vietnam.
• Support company leadership in the development of a global organization, leveraging and optimizing this information to best execute the company’s strategic initiatives.
• Ensure that, when necessary, HR policies and programs reflect the unique requirements of foreign national employment.
• Manage staffing process, prepare offer letters and ensure that new hire paperwork is completed accurately and on-time.
HR Operations & Metrics:
• Establish HR record keeping and other administrative processes and develop or secure the systems and tools required to maintain. Embed and monitor measures to ensure operational excellence.
• Track and analyze staffing, retention, turnover, exit interview data and other information necessary to provide the insights for informed business decisions.
Compliance:
• Identify risk, ensure adherence with all applicable HR-related legal, regulatory and compliance requirements and recommend actions to protect the company.
• Adapt company policies and procedures including the Associate Handbook to reflect local legal and cultural requirements.
• Administer the company’s Code of Conduct and Respectful Workplace policies applicable in region.
Talent Acquisition:
• Conduct quality talent market research and proactive talent sourcing.
• Lead full life cycle recruitment.
• Build up Talent Pipelines
• Budget & control recruitment cost
Performance Management & Training:
• Drive performance management process including goal-setting, performance appraisals and associate development planning.
• Provide training to managers and associates on the process, roles, forms, rating calibration and timelines.
• Customize corporate training programs and materials to reflect local requirements and deliver as needed:
Talent Management:
• Work with management to implement the succession planning process including talent profiles, 6 block matrix, successor plans and development action commitments.
Associate Relations:
• Consult with managers and associates on all aspects of associate-related issues including performance concerns, policies and procedures interpretation, misconduct investigations, terminations.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
• Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• At least 8-10 years of progressive management experience as a HR generalist in an organization with a multi-country mode of operation.
• Experience in managing a population of local, expatriate and foreign national associates across multiple countries.
• Ability to stay current on statutory and labor market changes and trends.
• Excellent organization and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
• Acts with tact, integrity and confidentiality to resolve sensitive HR issues.
• Fluent verbal skills in English.
• Strong writing ability and effective presentation skills.
• Ability to influence others in higher ranking positions.
