Human Resources Manager

* ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This role will have overall management responsibility for the day to day operations of the HR function of the Vietnam office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the local senior leadership, and act as a trusted advisor for people related matters and instill HR best practices.
This role will report to MD Vietnam Soho Square and MD Vietnam Market Action with matrix reporting to Regional HR Director. You will be responsible for all-round HR functions and will manage the full employee life cycle including on-boarding, orientation, compensation and benefits, employee relations, off-boarding. As well as HR administration, employment related documentation, and managing the payroll vendor.
In addition to this you are responsible for working closely with Regional and Global HR teams to ensure smooth implementation of regional and global initiatives.

* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the day to day HR operations for the Vietnam office
2. Has a broad business mindset and able to provide suggestions to improve performance, productivity, and effectiveness
3. Partner with Finance to understand revenue forecast and forecast staffing needs
4. Assist hiring managers with position requirements and partner with them to develop job descriptions and able to drive talent acquisition through direct recruitment or use of recruitment firms and various recruitment channels
5. Partner with the local leadership team to develop appropriate solutions to address people related issues, employee engagement, and staff retention
6. Keep abreast of changes to local employment laws
7. Maintain and update policies, procedures and practices, to ensure regulatory compliance with both local law, group guidelines, and ethical standards
8. Manage and ensure smooth execution the annual HR processes including but not limited to annual performance management, salary reviews, promotions and talent reviews
9. Develop effective communication to raise staff understanding on various HR initiatives, their purpose and impact on employees
10. Participates and supports Regional HR Director in implementation of Global/Regional HR initiatives and projects
11. Identify training and development needs for key talent in order to support their growth with the firm

* PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & DEMONSTRATED BEHAVIOURS:
• Must have sound knowledge of local Vietnamese employment laws and staff benefits
• 8+ years experience as an HR generalist, and high level of integrity and professionalism
• Strong business acumen and solid HR exposure
• Demonstrates significant level of initiative and resourcefulness and able to work as an individual contributor
• Experience in management of third parties is highly desirable
• Able to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
• Previous experience with an MNC company would be advantageous
• Fluent written and spoken English and Vietnamese is a must
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Strong influencing skills with ability to build strong client relationships at all levels
• Proficient in MS office tools – excel, word, power-point
