A/ General Job scope:

• The primary purpose of the role is to provide strong leadership to Mondelēz Vietnam on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives, meeting and beyond legislative requirements, to provide direction and guidance for planning and implementing HSE standards and drive for Interdependent HSE Culture across entire Vietnam business and coordinate commercial HSE initiative and standard implementations across SEA.

B/ Main responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and MDLZ HSE Standards, advise sites/commercials on any changes or updates as required.
• Drive initiatives/programs to achieve Zero incidents, less energy consumption/carbon emissions, water consumption and total waste minimization.
• Follow up and track the action plans till closure, validate the effectiveness of actions on critical risks/issues/findings.
• Support the achievement and maintenance of safety and environment accreditation, specifically OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001, SMETA etc.
• Proactively coach, engage and influence country leadership and all function colleagues in Vietnam to progress the culture change
• Ensure HSE incidents are reported and investigated as per protocol within MDLZ guidelines and information is shared across BU and AMEA region.
• Ensure HSE incidents are effectively investigated to identify root causes to ensure no recurrence.
• Manage, update and monitor HSE database (Enablon system), conduct trend analysis and report on key findings, including overdue and corrective action status.
• Liaise with senior management, external consultants or Regulators/Authority if required during serious incident management.

• A Graduate in Science or Engineering with Advance Diploma in Industrial safety /management
• Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in Manufacturing/ Industrial safety. Out of which 3 years should be in a managerial role
• HSE leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Should possess a strong working knowledge of HSE processes including HIRA, Root Cause Analysis, Lock Out Tag Out, PPE Assessments, Behavior-Based Safety, Ergonomics, Design Safety Reviews, permit to work, Contractor safety management, etc.
• Strong written and communication skills Sound knowledge and understanding of the ability to review and interpret and apply, HSE legislation, standards, and regulatory guidance material
• Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, identify the root cause and develop solutions through to implementation; Coaching and development skill; planning and administrative skills
• Should be knowledgeable in continuous improvement concepts and should preferably be adept in six sigma methodology
