Mô tả công việc

*** PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Branch Manager (BM) will give supportive direction and leadership to the formulation and achievement of the Vespa Adventures (VA) philosophy, objectives and strategies at VA. The BM will be directly responsible for managing the business, financial security, and effective human resources management to develop its future growth. The BM will work closely with the Operations Manager in being responsible for the overall management and administration of VA Hoi An team and office. The BM will be the lead senior executive with overall responsibility for the operation of VA Hoi An. While the BM role has a principally strategic focus, the role also incorporates some operational duties in sharing with other managers’ responsibilities for the conduct of all of the operational duties of VA Hoi An.

*** SCOPE
The BM together with the VA Board of Directors will make the plan for VA Hoi An based on the strategy of VA and assign tasks and responsibilities to the accountable persons and monitoring the implementation to make sure that the whole operation of Hoi An operation and tours run smoothly. The BM will report to the Chief Operation Officer and the BODs (Board of Directors).

*** RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
* Overall Operation Management:
- Guides and Drivers: Oversee and be responsible for the quality of recruitments and training. Ensure that booking guides and drivers is done properly and all VIP guests are assigned with best guides and drivers.
- Work with suppliers: Create good relationship with local suppliers (Bars, restaurants, vendors, etc), work with them closely and make sure they understand VA service standards so they can deliver it accordingly.
- Do regular quality checks of all tours, follow up with action points for service improvement.
- Train all operation staff on the VA service standards, and coach them accordingly
- Be responsible for product development with close cooperation with guides and line managers.
- Work with VA directors on developing monthly and annual operation plans, evaluate and report the progress
- Support OM with certain communications with guests, partners and suppliers in English when requiring a native language speaker.
- Contribute to strategy of the company to maintain the professionalism of Vespa Adventures.
- Monitor all company access including Vespa and tour supply.
- Work with the BOD to seek for business development in potential locations (Da Nang).
- Run and manage the operation of Da Nang, making sure that it meet Vespa Adventures standards.
- Coordinate with Vespa Adventures Branch in Hue for multiday tours and support it when needed.

* Organizational and Planning Management
- Manage the affairs of the Hoi An branch in accordance with VA strategy.
- Provide leadership and vision to the Hoi An Branch by communicating and working with the Board of Directors in the development of long range and annual plans, and with regular evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
- Research, analyze and suggest plans, as needed, to assist the company in determining and meeting its long and short-term goals.
- Working closely with the Communication and Marketing Manager to develop and manage sale and marketing campaign to upscale sales.
Strategy
- To contribute to, develop, and put in place, strategic operating plans and budgets for activities that reflect the long-term objectives and priorities of the company.
- To oversee, maintain, and develop the high standards required to run a respected professional tour company

* Operations and Controls
- To establish an appropriate structure of the branch and its management;
- To ensure appropriate and satisfactory systems which are in place for monitoring performance of Hoi An branch.
- To contribute to improving an effective system of controls of Hoi An branch, covering non-financial as well as financial controls.
- To ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and employees.
- To oversee and monitor Hoi An branch human resources.

* Communication and reporting
- To communicate closely with Board of Directors.
- To communicate and work closely with the Operations Manager and Sales Manager.

* Management
- To motivate, maintain and improve a first-class effective operational team.
- To contribute to carry out regular reviews on staff compensation and benefits.
- To implement and carry out staff performance reviews.
- To work as part of a team to develop employee training and development program.
- To contribute to the development, design and implementation human resource policies and procedures.
- To keep current on all HR related laws and ensure company compliance.

* Managing contracts with tour companies
- Maintain and develop personal relationships with key management figures at TA’s to ensure continued business development and to understand how we can best serve our partners.
- Learn about the identity of specific travel agents, their clients and are their tour preference.
- To create new relationship with new partners within the Travel Agent scene in Hoi An, Vietnam and the region.
- Maintain and develop relationships within tour companies, NGO’s and other significant organizations regarding contracting and collaboration.
- Master all VA’s products and policies (rates, commission, discount…) and train the direct sale team of the products and policies.

* Managing Sales at hotels and tour desk
- To work closely with Sales Manager to maintain and develop the contracting/commission system with local hotels and tour desks.
- Ensure regular reports and updates are completed by Sales Manager and submitted to BODs
- Managing direct sale plan of VA including developing, implementing, monitoring and report.
- Be on hand to meet with high end hotels personally with or without Sales Manager to support continued business development and understand how we can best serve our partners.

* Other related tasks:
1. Take part in short tours when needed for quality control, field experience and product development/improvement purposes.
2. To make Sales Calls and Social Calls with existing and potential partners to maintain good relations and develop new partnerships.

- Attainment a good knowledge of travel and hospitality
- Having a practical experience and knowledge in managing local team.
- Have good local knowledge of Hoi An/Vietnam, the temples, and the areas of touristic interest.
- Develop a good knowledge of existing and new venues, places of interest, special attractions in and around Hoi An.
- Having good leadership and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills.
- Having good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Having the ability to work under high pressure of time and workload
- Having good ability in managing and directing a company
- Having good teamwork skills.
- Having good presentation skills.
- Having good computer skills: word, excel, PowerPoint presentation…
- Have a good understanding of Legal and Tax.
