Healthcare Associate Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our healthcare team seeks to attract talented and motivated and individuals who have a passion for identifying and creating innovative solutions for clients, and helping Vietnam as it transforms its healthcare system. This role will be based in Ho Chi Minh City.
In this role, successful applicant will work with firm leadership to serve C-level executives to identify, structure and solve complex healthcare related issues. This person will work for, and closely with, the National Head of Healthcare, but will need to demonstrate a high-level of autonomy and self-motivation for project oversight and follow through. As part of a fast-paced and dynamic group, successful applicants will participate in a wide variety of healthcare and life science related issues in both the public and private sector. Applicant will have access to coaching and support to enable them to meet the needs of our global client base, and grow in their career.

Key responsibilities
• Coordinate and drive client issues with project leadership
• Derive insights from data that inform client hypotheses. Help the project leadership separate the “signal from the noise” to create impactful and relevant insights
• Work on several engagements simultaneously across different sectors, and KPMG service lines to help explain healthcare and life science issues to the firm, and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with other service lines to develop cross-selling potential
• Structure complex client problems in to “testable” hypotheses
• Direct the research of junior staff through information gathering and analysis
• Support leadership in business development activities
• Provide coaching to subordinate and junior team members
• Demonstrate high levels of drive, ambition and the ability to lead work at high levels of intensity
• An understanding of Vietnam’s healthcare systems. This should include its public and private hospital systems, governmental oversight and policies

• Successful candidates will have a background in healthcare and ideally healthcare advisory. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical exposure, though those with hospital administration or planning backgrounds are also encouraged to apply
• 6 – 8 years of relevant experience years of experience in healthcare and / or healthcare (with advisory exposure), and ideally project leadership exposure
• Understanding of Vietnam’s healthcare systems, hospitals, and ideally regulatory trends
• Comfortable interacting with government officials, and explaining complex “on the ground” healthcare issues to senior level client staff
• Analytical mind with excellent data collection and analysis skills
