Health, Safety and Environment Specialist (Hse).

Tasks:
ABB Vietnam is seeking HSE Specialist (Health, safety & environmental Specialist) who would be responsible for organizational health and safety adhering to ABB compliance. Based in Hanoi and reporting to General Factory Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

• Audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, environmental testing.
• Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct HSE inspection violations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation standards, and other requirements to which the Organization subscribes;
• Maintain safe systems of work, the work premises and the work environment including systems to adequately manage emergency response;
• Provide appropriate OH&S training to all employees and volunteer workers;
• Regularly review and evaluate Health and Safety Management systems including audits and workplace inspections;
• Establish measurable objectives and targets to ensure continued improvement aimed at elimination of work-related injury and illness.
• Support Production by providing solutions, training, and coaching in hazard controls, methods, procedures and processes to eliminate/reduce OHS risks.
• Prepare data and reports to support OHS monthly review.
• Conduct safety orientation for all new employees. Improve, record, and maintain a training schedule and matrix (issue necessary safety certificate)
• Prepares OH&S statistical reports and conduct 12 monthly safety review meetings with Production Monitor monthly performance of unsafe conditions, medical treatments, first aid injuries, near misses and accidents at work.
• Lead the incident investigation process to ensure proper root cause, corrective actions, and preventative measures are taken.
• Reinforce Contractor's Safety Management in Hanoi site. Ensure that all contractors performing work on site follow established ABB EHS requirements in accordance to site EHS initiatives
• Consult contractors to enhance the effectiveness of the OH&S Management System
• Ensure the OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 Management System to be implemented effectively in Factory.

To be considered for this role you should have,
• A degree in environment or occupational health & safety.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE
• Specialised knowledge in Environment Management System.
• International Certificate of HSE Specialist.
• Strong command over written, verbal English communication.
• Ability to deal and influence people within organizations related to OHS program.
• Good planning, organizing, decision making, problem solving and leadership skills.
