Head of UX Design (Digital Banking)

A leading financial institution is looking for a head of UX design to lead their innovative digital design team. You will be joining a forward-thinking organisation going through significant digital transformation, looking to incorporate new methodologies (like agile) and new approaches to organizational structure and design to create leading in-market customer experiences.

This role will be responsible for heading up and building a team of UX designers within the bank, who will play a crucial part in developing the digital banking experience (across app, desktop, and emerging digital platforms such as chat) for one of the top financial institutions in Vietnam. This role is a dual one: firstly, leading up both the design work, and secondly in an educational role, helping teach and train employees in areas of digital design, product management, and agile methodologies across departments

• Liaise with key stakeholder to define user motives and digital transformation strategy, whilst identifying any pain points which require attention.
• Conceptualize and design beautiful, usable, desirable user centered experiences for App (iOS/Android) and Web (mobile/desktop)
• Creation of detailed/high spec story boards, journey maps, wireframes, personas and prototypes
• Develop user stories and scenarios, user journeys, user flows, sitemaps, navigation schemes, additional rules, breakpoints, annotated wireframes
• Work with technical front-end and back-end developers to understand feasibility in order to align on requirements
• Encourage wider understanding and adoption of customer-first thinking, including: agile methodologies, product management (PODS, tribes, etc.), design thinking methods, user research and testing techniques, and usability insights
• Develop testing plans for user testing, including rapid testing and validation sessions to confirm design, building of prototypes/artifacts for usability testing
• Build, train, and manage a team (from scratch) of experience designers and user researchers
• Ensure documentation of design principles, style guides and standards; work with UI and visual identity designers to develop UX and UI documentation (including GUI guidelines and pattern library) to ensure the creation of consistent, on-brand experiences

• Expert knowledge in UX design principles and methodologies
• >5 years of experience in digital agencies or in-house client-side building, managing and mentoring digital design teams (UX, UI, and front-end developers)
• Experience with digital design tools, such as Sketch, Zeppelin, Adobe XD, etc.
• Experience with prototyping tools such as InVision, Marvel, etc/
• Familiar with user research – crafting user personas, designing quantitative and qualitative research approaches, putting together user testing plans and scripts, various user testing techniques/methodologies
• Ability to create customer journey maps, wireframes, rapid prototypes, information architectures and workflows
• Extensive experience working within Agile environments and running scrums
• Confident leader who has experience liaising and presenting to key stakeholders
• Product and service design experience, having previously designed and built digital products and services (apps, websites, games)
• English language skills for business environment (working with consultants and vendors)
• Experience in Financial Services a plus
