• Lead the setting of a strategic vision for Operational risk and other non-financial risks across the Division
• Provide thought leadership in management and implementation of Operational risk frameworks across the Division based on a thorough understanding of the risk management practices and regulatory requirements related to Operational risk in VPDirect and across jurisdictions that the VPBank operates in.
• Ensure appropriate support for regulatory interaction at VPDirect and across various jurisdictions related to operational risk
• Ensure ‘fit for purpose’ operational risk framework, policies and procedures are defined and documented supported by appropriate systems.
• Provide operational risk oversight and advisory capability to Division Head
• Provide operational risk advisory for change activities to ensure robust & regulatory compliant business process and systems are delivered in the Division
• Stay abreast of market information and regularly analyze and update Matrix
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations whilst taking a commercial and practical approach to risk based challenges and offer appropriate solutions when any fraud is detected.
• Provide regular reports to Division Head detailing any current issue or information as required
• Conduct internal audits, including liaison with external auditors
• Develop assurance capability to ensure there is independent review and reporting of group wide implementation of the operational risk framework

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Good -functional knowledge and hands on experience in functional areas of responsibility as above
ABILITIES/ATTRIBUTES

Good written and verbal communication skills and Stakeholder management ability
Good analytical skills.
Stays abreast on latest developments in his / functional areas and ability to translate them to the benefit of the division
>10 years in risk management function with at least 5 years in a in Risk Management or Audit (Banking / Financial Services / E-commerce / Wallet)
At least 5 years recently in Financial Services or E-comm company.
Post Graduate qualification in General Business Management. Professional certifications (highly preferred)
