Head of Risk Management

This position is responsible for the overall risk areas of the Bank; ensures that advice and guidance to bank management and staff is provided in sync with business objectives, ensures the Bank’s risk objectives are met;directs staff in the identification, measurement, and monitoring of risk.
* Risk Management (covering Credit Portfolio Risk, Global Markets Risk, Liquidity Risk, Operational Risk):
- Manage the implementation of all aspects of the risk function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks
- Assist in the development of and manage processes to identify and evaluate business areas' risks and control self-assessments.
- Manage the process for developing risk policies and procedures, risk limits and approval authorities.
- Manage the process for elevating control risks to more senior levels when appropriate.
- Responsible for developing, improving and reporting risk management indicators to both Management and Board.
- Coordinate with Group’s/Parent’s Risk Management functions to propose internal limits for controlling risks.
- Identify operational efficiencies and controls for safeguarding the bank’s assets.
- Provide consultative advice on various Bank projects and initiatives on risk matters.
- Matrix reporting into Group Risk Management for the area of risk management.
- Fulfill all risk and compliance reporting required at Group level.
- Ensure that a sound Risk Management Program is in place for the Bank.

Education/Qualification
• University degree and/or professional qualification in Audit/Accounting/Finance or Banking
• Completion of advanced finance / management courses / CPA would be an advantage.
Experience
• Experienced in risk management/assessment methods
• Good communication in English
• Experienced in audit especially on the internal control processes
• Good exposure to banking products and practices
• Strong ability to work in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively deal with people from a wide diversity of culture and social environments.
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
