Head Of Legal [HCM]

Risk Management & Compliance:
- Responsible for assessing and modelling the legal risk environment and planning appropriate mitigating actions with business leads;
- Compilation and delivery of legal action plans for all territories;
- Works closely with international legal team as well;

Litigation & External Stakeholders:
- Experience of managing litigation (if has managed IP litigation that is an advantage);
- Strong commercial risk assessment skills; plus, the strength of character to ensure the business is advised clearly on its obligations and does the right thing;
- Commercial Business Partner;
- Understand the business priorities and be central to business discussions and decisions;
- Translate external legal advice into commercial business language;
- Establish strong relations with partners internal and external;

Leadership & Talent:
- Devise strategies for efficient operation of the legal advice service;
- Work with direct reports to maximise their potential;

The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
- Master/bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent work experience would be preferred. Prior legal training and work experiences is advantageous;
- At least 8 years of relevant legal and regulatory compliance;
- Strong leadership and communication skills and a team player who can work under pressure and inspire confidence in others;
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English;
- Demonstrates the highest level of integrity in all matter.
