Group Customs & Trade Compliance Advisor

MISSION

Central Retail Vietnam Group Customs & Trade Compliance Advisor is to support CRV Group Head of Tax in:

- Monitoring, controling and supporting CRV/BU Importation Departments on customs and trade compliance for CRV’s businesses/entities;

- Monitoring, controlling and supporting CRV Group Importation Departments on customs and trade audit for CRV’s businesses/entities;

- Bridging between CRV Group Tax and CRV/BU Importation Departments in supporting Group Tax’s initiatives;

- Seeking opportunities to optimize customs and trade compliance performance for CRV businesses/entities;

In particular, CRV Group Customs and Trade Compliance Advisor, on behalf of CRV Group Head of Tax, is accountable across CRV businesses/ entities for:

- Customs and Trade compliance for CRV businesses/entities;

- Provision of support and assurance to CRV/BU Importation Departments;

ACTIVITIES

- Supporting and improving all customs and trade returns and reporting processes (40%) – Sample reviews customs returns for accuracy, consistency and presentation; manages the overall process required; Monitors, controls and supports CRV/ BU Importation Departments for customs and trade risk within the reporting cycle; bridges between CRV Group Tax and CRV/ BU Importation Departments on customs and trade compliance matters on behalf of CRV Group Head of Tax;

- Resolving customs consultation, audits and disputes to pursue our settlement goals (45%) – Supports CRV/ BU Importation Departments to deal with enquiries from customs authorities; resolves customs consultation and audits most favorably to CRV businesses and report to CRV Group Head of Tax on contentious issues; bridges between CRV Group Tax and CRV/BU Importation Departments on customs and trade compliance matters on behalf of CRV Group Head of Tax;

- Reseaching, interpreting and applying customs and trade laws to CRV businesses (15%) – Researches, interprets and applies customs and trade law to ensure CRV businesses correctly identifies its normal operational customs liabilities; accurately identifies its customs and trade compliance risks; on behalf of CRV Group Head of Tax, acts as central point of expertise with CRV businesses on customs and trade compliance issues; trains and coaches CRV/BU Importation Departments on customs and trade compliance regulatory matters.

- Bachelor Degree in Finance/Banking, Accounting, and Management;

- At least 3 years experience in customs and trade career in multiple business environments. Intensive experience on customs and trade compliance, customs consultation, customs audits either with consulting firms or as in-house expert is a must;

- Extensive tax experience and industry practice on customs and trade matters;

- Excellent communication skills, both within the local business, with shareholders, customers and other third parties;

- The ability to represent powerfully to the business, other functions and customs authorities;

- Ensuring the business is conducted in accordance with expected Group governance;

- Fluency in English and Vietnamese;
