Group Accountant & Compliance Controller

Manage, develop & oversee the entire accounting team on daily work to ensure compliance of accounting, taxation & other internal and external compliance requirements and improve reporting & working processes and activities. Provide timely and accurate financial information to support top management in decision making and preventing frauds and errors.

* Manage & develop the accounting team & work process successfully and ensure day to day operation of accounting & taxation are complied to the regulations:
- Manage and oversee the entire accounting team. Effective planning, review & work processes to the team to ensure all the monthly/quarterly/annually accounting, tax, statistic reporting of the group of companies are prepared timely, accurately & complied with the regulations at all times
- Work with stakeholders / business partners across functions to understand the tax impact of business operation, monitor and advise on tax related matters, identify opportunities for process improvement, highlight potential non-compliance risks, tax saving opportunities and provide recommendation for actions
- Retain and manage the relationship with Tax Authorities for good company relation image. Manage the team successfully in dealing with with the authorities on tax audit, tax enquiry, and other correspondence and reports
- Conduct necessary training to keep the team’s skills and knowledge up to date
- Understand new updated changes in accounting, tax & other compliance requirement by the authorities and work on on implementation strategy
- Assist CFO in implementation of policies, guidelines & procedures

• Recognized university degree or professional certificate
• Strong, broad, technical sound on accounting & tax technical knowledge & skill
• Working experiences in Big 4 accounting firm
• People management, leadership & problem solving skills
• Positive thinker, logically thinking, proactive
• Demonstrable success in improving accounting & tax compliance service levels
• SAP knowledge is an added advantage
