Graphic Designer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials
2. Plans concept by studying information and materials
3. Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
4. Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval
5. Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors
6. Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art
7. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirement; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment
8. Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies; art services, printers, etc.
9. Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 Must be able to work in time deadlines with minimum supervision
 Has a good organizational and communicative skill
 Is creative and up-to-date with latest in graphic design methods and applications
 Knowledge in multimedia presentation and website design is an advantage
 Good contacts with local printing, paper and color separation suppliers will be added advantage

Education:
A certificate or Diploma in Graphic Design or its related discipline
Proficient in Adobe CS6 Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and Microsoft Office. Those who are familiar with Mac platform will be an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
