Graphic Designer ( Australian Based Company; Attractive Benefits)

The focus of this role is sales support:

- Creation and tailoring of image and graphic elements for sales collateral, proposals, etc
- Sourcing elements for personalising proposal documentation
- Ideally capable of creating infographics and video explainers with graphics, and/or overlaying video demos with graphics.
- Conversant with Adobe creative cloud products.
- Ideally capable of learning new tools for animation and motion graphics.

Communication
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with marketing and IT departments on a formal, informal, written and verbal level.
• Working closely with both the design, project and agency teams to achieve the best possible results from conception right through to delivery.
• Provide timely resolution to reported problems with existing assets.

Design
• Ownership of the Microsoft document template suite, including rebranding, new templates, design development and macros.
• Respond to creative briefs from the Marketing team to deliver branded collateral that achieves defined objectives
• Champion and protect the brand ensuring all deliverables adhere to guidelines
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing and advertisements ideas and campaigns with the Marketing team
• Develop a deep understanding of the organisation’s marketing objectives, strategic positioning and target audience
• Create designs and campaigns that have an instant, positive impact on the consumer in order to promote the brand, service or product
• Edit and improve photography to support business requirements
• Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualise ideas for new and ambitious concepts

Administrative
• Work to timelines, prioritising urgent projects and demonstrating flexibility to last minute change
• Manage version control and coordinate final artwork

• Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Acrobat, PowerPoint or Keynote. Experience with other Adobe software and web development is a plus.
• Must have experience building Microsoft Suite templates included Word reports, PowerPoints and Excel. Ability to build custom ribbons, Building Blocks and macros to improve user workflow.
• Hands on experience with branded design including typography, colour, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design.
• Prior experience doing design for corporate clients will be an advantage.
• Extensive understanding of brand, ability to interpret brand guidelines and confidence to protect brand.
• Selecting, cropping, editing and briefing photography.
• Demonstrated experience with print design including knowledge of colour space, printing processes, colour separation, grid layout, and master pages.
• Project management experience including ability to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree/Master’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Expert understanding of graphic design principles.
• Experience with layout conversion optimisation and ability to create visual pathways for audience comprehension.
• Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to manage projects and be available, as needed, for briefing and update meetings.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team environment.
• Ability to take creative direction and handle constructive feedback.
