Position Summary:
Our resort in Nha Trang is currently looking for a new General Manager or Management Couple to lead the Resort to new heights and luxury achievements. The Resort is a 5-star property with 3 restaurants, spa, gift shop, business center and gym.
We are looking for an individual that has a real passion for hospitality, ready for the next big challenge and a natural leader with a proven record of success. The candidate must be willing to push boundaries, challenge the norms and take the guest experience to a whole new level. This is a hands-on position and the General Manager is required to attract and retain staff, maintain a cooperative relationship with team members and optimize staff productivity.
The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the Resort, from day-to-day staff management and operations to meeting and exceeding guests’ expectations and satisfaction. The candidate should be an ambassador for the brand and Resort, provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments and work very closely with the hotel owners and other stake holders.
This is a high- level position and the successful candidate will be asked to work collaboratively with other team members, contracted third parties, and with the owner/principal of the firm. The primary focus will be day to day oversight and management of the Resort. Resort experience in Asia will be advantageous.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee the operational functions of the Resort, as per the Organizational chart.
• Ensure full compliance to Resort operating controls, SOPs, KPIs, policies, procedures and service standards.
• Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
• Handling complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures.
• Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the Resort's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
• Manage ongoing profitability of the Resort, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
• Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the Resort.
• Developing improvement actions, carry out costs savings.
• A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
• Closely monitor the Resorts business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
• Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.
• Maximizing room yield and resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
• Prepare a monthly financial report for the owners and stake holders.
• Draw up plans and budget (revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners.
• Coordination with HOD's for the execution of all activities and functions.
• Manage and develop the Resort Executive team to ensure career progression and development.
• Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
• Provide effective leadership to Resort team members.
• Lead in all aspects of business planning.
• Corporate client handling and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.

• Hospitality accreditation
• 5+ years of experience in a related position
• Asian Experience of over 2 years
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Individual must possess a good work history and stability
• Demonstrate ability to lead by example with a participative management style
• Abilities to inspire, train, and develop people for promotion
• Instill a guest service attitude in all employees
