General Accountant (Constantia Vietnam, Pharma Division)

• Generate month-end / year-end and other periodical financial reports (Local GAAP and IFRS)
• Prepare month-end / year-end closing journal vouchers
• Prepare tax (VAT, CIT, FCWT…) declarations and reports
• Perform month-end / year-end accounts reconciliation
• Lead Year-end Closing and Local Statutory Accounts
• Assist Head of Administration in reviewing and approval of posting entries / journal vouchers prepared by other accountants
• Check and review payment documents prepared by other accountant(s) before submitting to Head of Administration for approval
• Assist Head of Administration in supervising of 2-3 junior accountants
• Maintain accounting systems and enforce policies and procedures ensuring compliance with Local GAAP and Group’s Accounting standards and internal control requirements
• Support Head of Administration in working and communicating with internal and external auditors, tax authorities
• Read, understand, interpret and analyse financial statements and reports as guided by Head of Administration to provide meaningful analysis to Head of Administration / Management / other internal stakeholders
• Support Financial Analyst in analysing and (or) Group reporting tasks relating to Accounting & Financial reporting, as assigned by Head of Administration
• Support Head of Administration in improving financial operation systems & processes
• Assist Head of Administration in maintaining a culture of integrity, compliance and probity in the accounting team
• Other relevant tasks as assigned by Head of Administration

JOB DIMENSIONS & KEY INTERFACES

Key Interfaces:
- Company Management, Finance and Accounting, Sales, Production, and other company departments;
- Division and Group Finance and Accounting.

KNOWLEDGE
• Computer literate: good in Excel and other Office skills (Word, Powerpoint…)
• Strong in book-keeping principles, VAS (must) and IFRS (preferably)
• Good ability to read, interpret and analyse financial statements & reports
• Good spoken and written English

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years experience in a similar role in manufacturing companies, preferably within a multinational context, or in audit firms
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting / finance
• Chief Accountant certificate / ACCA / CPA / Master’s Degree in accounting / finance is a plus

• Good communication skills, both written (include analytical) and verbal
• Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure, meet multiple deadlines to address multiple issues
• Ability to manage a small team of 2-3 junior accountants
• Passionate about and keen on developing career in Accounting field
• Potential to become Chief Accountant in the long term
