Garment Quality Controller

Domino Workwear is a Finnish workwear manufacturing company, the company was founded in 2006 and produce about 700,000 pcs of technical garments per year.

- Managing quality from materials/trims through to export finished garments.
- Responsible for checking and resolving quality / workmanship problems while in sewing line as well as end complete garments.
- Responsible for translating between English and Vietnamese in written or oral communication.
- Responsible for all kind of samples inspection / writing comments.
- Working for a European workwear brand represented by a partner in HCMC, 100% of time working at site Northern Vietnam (Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Hai Duong notably).
- Check materials/trims quality behavior prior to production.
- Verifying workmanship strictly done as per customer’s comments.
- Given appropriate solution to factory production to achieve workmanship requirement
- Ensure factory Quality managements well understanding comments of customer that well translate to them.
- During development timeline; solve technical and pattern issues; clearly translate to Factory Technical Team.
- Accompany Domino Workwear during in line quality check; clearly translate to Line Supervisor / Technician and record keeping.
- Pre-final quality check – physical quality control to ensure finished garments are zero defect prior to final by Customer QC
- Final Quality Check with Lead QC

Note: Employment contract is with FinnSEA - Nordesk (CÔNG TY TNHH SUOMI) which is a foreign owned Vietnamese company and representing Domino Workwear business in Vietnam.

- Graduated from Garment Technical college or higher level
- Minimum 3 years industry experience working as QC/QA garment or working in Garment Factory as Supervisor or Line leader (Woven).
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and good technical background
- Full professional proficiency in English, fluent Vietnamese.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet…)
- Knowledge of Lectra and Gerber tools
- Ability to check and solve workmanship issues at machines on the sewing line when input to prevent high rejection from coming out of the line.
- Technical / pattern / sewing skills to manage sample process while development or production.
- Communicating in spoken and written English and translation in Vietnamese to Factory Management Team.
- Open minded and accept changes
- Diligent and proactive
- Willing to travel as required
- Self-discipline is mandatory to success in this position
- Must be familiar with AQL standards
- Good sense of responsibilities and ethics
- Can work in pressure working environment
- Experience working with workwear garments is preferred
- Experience working with European/US companies is preferred
