Job Description

With its division Automotive Steering, Bosch is developing steering solutions for the future to make driving safer and more comfortable.

Therefore Bosch is also working on solutions in the field of automated and autonomous driving which has high demands on architecture and steering system. Coupled with this is the need for new functions and corresponding safety concepts that need to be developed.

For our advanced development team we are looking for excellent candidates with expertise in delivering strategic initiatives across internal and external sources and are eager to develop these new safety concepts correctly from the start through implementation and properly align with business needs.

Let's look at your contribution in details:

- To Identify, plan, establish, coordinate and monitor the functional safety management activities identified in the functional safety process throughout the product development life cycle
- To create safety plan and maintain safety case
- To provide the impact analysis and prepare safety reports for successive safety releases
- To lead functional safety management related activities on safety critical systems and ensure products, processes and work products are in compliance to the applicable functional safety standard.
- To work in collaboration with the customers’ safety organizations as well as with project development team and its managers on all functional safety aspects
- To organize conformation reviews, audits and safety assessments for the project to ensure compliance with the relevant functional safety standard
- Domestic & international travel to customer sites, Bosch sites, and supplier sites is required

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering related field
- Hands-on experience in Embedded Software Development and/or Testing
- Hands-on experience with Product Development Life Cycle (System/ Hardware/ Software in automotive domain)
- Thorough system knowledge (ECU, Sensors, Software)
- Strong written, verbal communication and inter personal relationship skills

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

- Exposure to functional safety-standards like ISO26262,IEC61508, etc.,
- Knowledge in Safety Analyses like FMEA, FTA, SW Safety Analysis etc.,
- Knowledge on System FMEA tools like DOORS, Clear Quest
- Experience with Electronic Power Steering products
- Exposure to Vehicle Integration and Testing
