Front - End Lead Engineer

Job Overview & Responsibility

General Description:

We are looking for a front-end engineer that can implement wireframes of 3D animation web software into production ready code. The candidate will lead styling and front-end implementation of user-facing features, and help design a 3D animation UI/UX that is simple and intuitive. The candidate will also participate in gathering feedback from users to improve design and overall product.

Responsibilities:

- Implement GUI for managing application data to and from the 3D animation engine

- Create wireframes and contribute to the UI/UX of the 3D animation product

- Responsive web design

- Build reusable code as libraries for future use

- Optimize application for speed and scalability

- Write reliable and automatic tests to incorporate into the deployment pipelines for stable and reliable releases

Job Requirement

- 3-5 years experience in same position

- Strong background in Javascript and WebGL frameworks (Babylon.js, three.js)

- Demonstrated ability to implement a 3D animation software application, such as animation curves, rigging and retargeting

- Solid grasp of 3D mathematics, geometry and basic linear algebra

- Experience with graphics pipelines e.g. Maya, Unity, Unreal Engine

- Familiarity with scripting on 3D graphic platforms e.g. Blender python, Maya Embedded Language

- Web development experience

- Familiarity with Python or C/C++ for rapid algorithm prototyping

- Proficiency in spoken and written English

- General knowledge of 3D animation or experience using 3D animation tools (e.g. Maya, Blender, Unity, etc)

Interviewing Process

Typically 2-3 rounds. Length per round is around 1-2 hours. Test may be done in the interview, and would depend on how good the candidate is.
