Front End Developer (UI/UX Design, Javascript,html5,css3)

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As the Front-end/ UI/UX Designer you will design amazing experiences for our users for web and mobile apps. You will be a creative, tenacious individual who enjoys collaborating with cross functional teams. You will create and translate storyboards, information architecture, high fidelity prototypes and stakeholder feedback into fully responsive front end websites and mobile applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Ownership of UX/UI design for quality user experience for current and future web and mobile applications
- Pinpointing possible obstacles user's may face and eliminating this through your strong problem solving skills with a touch of creativity
- Develop visual design concepts and design assets
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS
- Strong hands on JavaScript experience with a sound knowledge of JQuery, AngularJS.
- Experience in setup and maintenance of front-end task runners and package managers.
- The ability to manage and execute test plans and code checks.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Prototype or jQuery
- Understanding CSS grid systems and best practices
- Experience building flexible & easy to maintain responsive websites
- Strong proficiency with the building blocks of the web: HTML, CSS, React, JavaScript
- All round experience in frontend and backend development, with a deep understanding and passion in one or more areas, e.g., security, accessibility, i18n, l10n, backend integration, search, JavaScript frameworks.
- End to end design and delivery of all native experiences, working autonomously and taking ownership and responsibility for every last detail
- Be involved in small to large-scale projects from the earliest discovery stages through UX, Design, Build and Measurement
- Be an expert in wire-framing UI, rapid prototyping and creating pixel perfect visual designs for stakeholder and customer feedback
- Design solutions that jointly meet customer and business needs, are 'on brand', and delivered to specification
- Design and deliver customer journey maps in consultation with key stakeholders
- Multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, results driven organisation

- 4+ years of experience applying User Centred Design methodologies for web and mobile applications
- Knowledge of web and mobile app design with focus on responsive, adaptive and fluid design across multiple devices and screens
- An eye for design and detail would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate both in writing and verbally
- Self-motivated nature and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Develop, test and deliver unique creative pieces using the latest front-end technologies
- Proven experience working within an agile environment
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping
- Ability to create information architecture docs include sitemaps, user flow diagrams, wireframes and prototypes
- Strong understanding of UI design patterns and standard user centred design methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas to stakeholders at all levels
