Your Job:
As a Lab Technician you will have a sound technical background in Footwear Lab testing and overall day to day operations
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures Brooks test methods are properly implemented in factory lab and all test reports are correctly written
- Compile and analyze test information to determine quality of materials and components
- Consults with Lab Supervisor and team resources to conduct analysis and interpret test results to ensure Brooks quality and performance criteria are met. Based on results, make recommendations for improvements
- Advise factory Lab personnel in special test procedures to analyze components and physical properties of materials.
- Ensure the factory laboratory equipment is calibrated according to Brooks calibration procedure and agreed upon schedule
- Assess factory labs organization structure, work arrangement, and lab layout. Consult with Lab Supervisor on recommended improvements
- Train factory lab personnel in testing procedures, specs, calibration procedure, and Brooks policies
- Maintain cleanliness and safety to promote a professional work environment at factory labs
- Balance the quality and delivery. Assists functional teams in terms of applying restricted release for materials
- Advises factory chemical test team in monitoring materials chemical test status, conducting random test, and exchanging information with Brooks RSL team and other functional teams as necessary
- Responsible for ensuring the factory is conducting inspection and preventative maintenance of all laboratory equipment
- Responsible for communications with internal and external stakeholders in the absence of the Lab Supervisor

- Degree in technical field, prefer study of Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering or related Science
- Minimum 2 years of footwear materials related experience (especially leather, textile or polymer) and/or an equivalent combination of experience
- Understanding of technical and functional footwear processes
- Must be fluent in English (writing and speaking) and have the ability to communicate clearly with Asia/USA teams
- Strong communication, organizational skills and a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment is essential
- Ability to coordinate and perform multiple/concurrent tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
