Finance Controller

Our client, a market leader in the footwear industry, have a newly created plant in Vietnam and are looking for an experienced Management Accounting and Finance professional ready to take the next step in their career.
As their new Finance Controller, you will be a hard-working and ambitious individual who has a number of years experiencing working at management level in a manufacturing company. You will have comprehensive accounting and finance knowledge gained in the industry, strong communication and management skills and be willing to travel to the factory.
In this important role you will have responsibility for finance functions in the factory and, among other things, be responsible for implementing best-practice financial processes, procedures, and setup and integration of the ERP (Baan) system. As part of the core management you will drive relevant analysis, reporting and ensure adherence to the company’s international standards. As the successful candidate you work closely with the Factory Manager on a day to day basis in order to drive the business.
This role reports to the CFO and the Factory manager and is based in the Ho Chi Minh area.

· Work as an integral member of the management team at the factory, providing financial expertise, on a proactive basis.
· Provide a professional financial perspective to the factory and inventory control operations, implementing adequate control procedures, as well as providing factory management with information and guidance, with a view to optimize and achieve budget plans.
· Implement ERP- Baan set up for the factory
· Control and f-up on capital investment plans and requests.
· Coordinate the preparation of financial plans, including budgets, forecasts and headcount analysis, based on company timetable.
· Identify continuously potential improvements in cost effectiveness and to make proposals to the appropriate parties.
· Prepare financial reports.
· Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organizing and leading timelines and completeness of period-end close); and forecasting for the factory; ensuring transparency of these processes; following up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring company’s policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are adhered to.
· Participate in productivity efficiency proposals and studies.
· Manage the accounts payables within the factory as well as administration

. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
· English a must, other language like Mandarin a plus
· At least 5 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting Management experience in a manufacturing environment
· Ability to interface effectively with plant and group teams
· Strong organizational and time management skills, serving with a sense of urgency
· Excellent data analysis skills with a focus on problem solving skills. Demonstrated
· Strong computer skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and business management software, Baan preferred.
· Self-starter, hands-on and can do attitude
