Factory Manager Garment

We are an experienced garment factory manufacturing school wear for the Australian market. We currently have 250 staff and produce over 200,000 garments per annum. The factory is a joint venture with Australian and Vietnamese partners, and the Australian partners also operate a 400 staff accessories factory in Colombo, Sri-Lanka. The factory will soon commence sublimation printing and garment production.

We are seeking an experienced garment manufacturing factory manager with good English skills to come and work for us for an initial 2 years period and perhaps longer: Formal qualifications in garment production are desirable.

Salary: negotiable

The successful candidate will need to be able to:

- Establish best practice manufacturing systems and processes
- Encourage and train the existing management team to work within modern process and systems
- Increase the productivity and reliability of the production

The position will report to the managing director of the factory who works on site in Ba Ria.

The position will also report on a technical and systems basis to the group production GM who is based in Colombo.
