Position Description:

· Work with relevant government institutions to further understand / check: interpretation of the regulations, submission of necessary reports and networking for operational enhancement in Environment, Health & Safety Operations

· Manage fatality prevention programs such as Control of Hazardous Energies, Electrical safety, Confined space, Fall Protection Hazards...

· Provide guidance on the required Personal protective equipment (PPE) and Safety equipment for operations and maintenance

· Support emergency planning and preparedness; for example, drills, evacuation maps, assembly

· Examine plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment, facilities, to determine if appropriate safety precautions have been included

· Responsible for touring plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations

· Facilitate job hazard analysis (JHA) for tools / machines, both existing and new tools.

· Investigate occupational incidents to minimize recurrence as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Skills (Must Have Skills):

· 2-year experience driving EHS program implementation and compliance

· Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene or related field

· Certified in any Safety, Environmental or allied fields such as: NEBOSH, OSHAS, CSP and the like or is currently undertaking learning in such fields.

· Strong English communications skills in both written and verbal.

· Familiarity with the scientific method of data gathering and analytical skills



Preferred Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene or related field

· Thorough understanding of the local regulations related to EHS regulations.

· Strong working knowledge of EHS business systems and compliance program requirements

· Demonstrate knowledge and experience in planning, project management and program implementation

· Demonstrate ability to build partnerships and relationships with senior management
