Facilities Manager

Join the Synopsys Real Estate & Facilities team as the Manager, Facilities, Vietnam to develop, implement, refine and manage Wuhan site facilities, safety and security. Assure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company. To ensure Synopsys, its people, and operations are safe, secure, compliant, and resilient. The position reports directly to the Head of Asia Pac Real Estate and Facilities.

RSPONSIBILITIES:

1.Manages the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
2.Manages the development, planning and implementation of company industrial safety programs and the administrative supervision of the security organization. Develops safety policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and handles all contact with the appropriate agencies. Provides protection for personnel and company property. May arrange for extra protection for key employees. Develops, implements, and maintains security procedures to meet required codes and regulations. Analyzes loss control and accident reports. Prepares and maintains all required security manuals.
3.Contractors/service providers development and management.

LEVELING REQUIREMENTS
1.Possesses a full understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of multiple related areas.
2.Customarily manages the coordination of the activities of a department with responsibility for priority-setting and results, including costs, methods and staffing.
3.Acts as an advisor to employees to meet schedules and/or resolve problems.
4.Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements for department.
5.Regularly receives assignments in the form of objectives and uses discretion and independent judgment to determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
6.Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established company policies.
7.Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
8. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
9.Interacts with senior internal personnel, functional peer group managers, and external customers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company.
10.Leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Facilities or Engineering related field).
•8+ years’ facilities management related working experience, 3+ years above manager level position
•Experience of working in a Global environment, cooperation and communication with multiple BUs, matrix report lines.
•Solid office building MEP systems experience preferred
•Solid Datacenter facilities infrastructure system setup and maintenance experience preferred
•Facilities management system skills(e.g. Archibus, AutoCAD, etc.), Microsoft office skills.
•Energized and passion for work, team player, good communication capability
•Proficient in English and Vietnamese, both written and verbal
