Expert – Airline Maintenance Inspector

BUREAU VERITAS is looking for an Airline Maintenance Inspector to work in the framework of on-going airline
technical assistance projects.
The airlines operate AIRBUS A320/A321 CEO and NEO, among other aircraft types.
The main project is located in Vietnam, the expert will be based at Ho Chi Minh City. The Expert may also have
to travel for short periods:
• along the airline domestic network (e.g. HAN, DAD, CXR, HPH)
• to assist other customer airlines in the SEA region (especially Vietnam and Thailand)
The majority of inspections will take place during night maintenance activities, therefore the expert shall have
flexibility to work at night.
The Expert will work under coordination of a Project Manager from Aeronautics & Space Agency, and in close
coordination with BV on-site team leader and other experts involved in the assistance project.
Main duties:
• Support the development of inspection and audit tools (audit/inspection plan, checklists, reporting etc.)
• Conduct inspections and carry out auditing functions during ramp and hangar activities on Airbus
aircraft
• Prepare detailed reports on inspections and auditing activities
• Promote compliance with airworthiness regulations and directives
• Report breaches of regulations and directives to the Project Manager and on-site Team Leader
• Providing advice and recommendations to other project members and customer on other technical
matters relating to aviation techniques, maintenance operations and aeronautical engineering as may
be required

• Due to security constraints to access hangar facilities (military area), the expert must have Vietnamese nationality
• Solid experience in line and base maintenance as aircraft engineer. Experience as inspector is considered as an asset.
• CAAV Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License
• Type rating AIRBUS 318/319/320/320/321 FAM
• Proficient in using AIRBUS documentation and tools (AIRNAVX etc.)
• Good practice of audit and inspection techniques
• Knowledge of CAAV Regulatory framework applicable to airlines and aircraft maintenance
organizations.
• Knowledge of AMOS Maintenance Information System is a plus.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills as well as flexibility and adaptability are requested.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
• Excellent pedagogy, customer-oriented.
