English Teacher – Vinai Residency Program

Job Overview
VinAI Residency, developed by VinAI Research funded by VinGroup, is a program created specifically for the purpose of attracting and training the future generation of top AI young talents to become the thought leaders in the field.
The AI Residency training program provided for residents includes not only AI technical training but also soft skill (i.e. presentation skill) and English training. The whole program and its expected outputs (i.e. publications) will be conducted in English. Therefore, we’re currently in need of a part – time professional teacher who are experienced in English Teaching for Academic Purposes to be in charge of our English courses.
Key tasks and responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
• Developing English teaching program corresponding with expected outputs of VinAI Residency Program;
• Preparing teaching materials and delivering classroom English lessons for the Program’s residents;
• Doing further research to update and improve teaching program; further research on technical writing skills is necessary;
• Evaluating student performance and provide residents with regular feedback;
• Maintaining assessment of residents’ progress and and provide periodic report to VinAI;
• Reviewing, evaluating and adopting teaching and learning strategies, methodologies and program in line with updates from VinAI Residency Program;
• Participating in meetings related to the curriculum and residents’ progress for better organization and effectiveness of the training course.

Academic qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in English/English Teaching from a university in Vietnam or abroad;
• Master’s Degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field is preferred;
• At least IELTS 8.0 or any other proof of English proficiency;
• Native speaker or experience living/working abroad is preferred.
Experiences:
• At least 5 years of experiences in English teaching for Academic purposes at Universities and/or well-organized English centers;
• Experienced in planning and organizing classes for students with science and technology background;
• Proven record of successful students;
Competencies:
• Ability to develop and implement successfully a specialized English training program for AI residents;
• Full comprehension of the expectations of AI Residency for residents;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong administrative skills – abele to organize learning materials, to monitor attendance and to to maintain a structured lesson and course plan;
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards;
