Mô tả công việc
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing engineering assignments of the property. Engineering assignments may include planning, developing, designing, and construction or any other aspect of engineering work. The incumbent can be assigned to manage an activity with an assigned staff; can be assigned to manage an on-going program which would not require a staff; or can be assigned as a specialist in a specific area of engineering which does not require a staff. Incumbents assigned to work as specialists provide technical information and support to other engineering and technical staff applying standards, processes and techniques adopted by the Department. Incumbents at this level can be assigned as project managers with responsible oversight of projects or potions of complex projects being developed by others. This job spends a significant amount of time managing and directing the operation of the assigned units, projects or programs as well as providing skills as a qualified licensed engineer. Acts as the technical authority in various aspects of the assignment.
1. Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources, and develops concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress and results; makes management decisions.
2. Evaluation or review of plans and criteria for a variety of activities; assesses feasibility of proposed plans, projects and equipment.
3. Supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring and termination, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
4. Interprets and implements policies and procedures; evaluates staff and makes hiring and termination recommendations.
5. Coordinate or acts as a liaison between vendors/contractors or work unit and local statutory governmental organization with matters pertaining to, including but not limited to, the use of utilities such as water, gas and electricity, licensing, inspection and testing to satisfy statutory requirements to all building and M&E systems.
6. Develops, directs, and/or evaluates preventive and other property management programs.
7. Participates in the selection of all related consulting / contracting firms, oversees and reviews their work product.
8. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental/cluster operating budget and financial.
9. To carry out other works as instructed by Residence/General Manager of the property

Yêu cầu ứng viên
1. University graduate with major in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
2. At least 8 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity (at least 3 years in the hospitality industry in a managerial position is preferable).
3. Good written and verbal communication in the English Language, Ability to maintain and repair relevant machinery.
4. Knowledge of functions of relevant technical systems and associated equipment and operational procedures.
5. Knowledge of local statutory, building and fire requirements.
6. Good management and supervisory skills.
7. Self motivated, Independent.
