Ecocycle Lab Superintendent

1. Manage pre-qualification of waste
• Initiate pre-qualification procedure for a new waste, manage and control execution.
• Integrate provided analyses on quality, environmental and OH&S impacts and propose/take decision to qualify or reject the potential waste.
• Assess and categorize risk and develop action plan to reduce risk
• Assess necessity and feasibility of potential technical modifications
• Establish the acceptance criteria, procedures and other specific requirements
• Cooperate with Quality, Environmental, OH&S and AFR Sales Managers to find solutions for the rejected waste if potential exists
2. Manage quality of waste and AFR in pre-processing and co-processing.
• Identify hazards and assess risks related to waste/ AFR handling and help establish acceptance criteria and risk reduction solutions.
• Consult AFR and cement plant teams on quality-related decision making
• Provide expertise in permitting and pre-qualification procedures.
• Coordinate with AFR and cement plant teams on quality matters on daily basis and take timely measures in case of issues.
• Investigate the reasons for quality issues and elaborate on solutions for continuous improvement.
• Assess impact on waste/ AFR quality of new investments, processes and technologies.
• Support business planning process to budget needed resources for waste/AFR quality improvements.
3. Provide quality expertise to support sales in AFR business
• Cooperate with AFR and cement plant teams along the product chain (waste-AFR-clinker-cement-RMX) to explore together the interrelation of products quality along the chain and establish the specific waste and AFR quality criteria
• Collaborate on solutions and adjustments in pre-processing to adapt to customers’ chemical and physical quality requirements
• Collaborate with the cement plant team to investigate and examine impact of using AFR on clinker quality and develop solutions to neutralize it
• Continuously monitor quality and take appropriate measures for better quality.




4. Act as advocacy ambassador of AFR business
• Recognize the benefits of AFR business for society, environment and business, and speak positively about the company to colleagues, friends, relatives and others.

• understand major quality, environment and OH&S aspects of AFR business
• recognize hazards and risks and company’s internal system of risk reduction and protection.
• Maintain company’s reputation of a preferred supplier of waste management services
• take opportunities to promote company’s products and services in internal and external communications
5. Ensure laboratory activities are aligned with ACERT, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000
• Take necessary actions for findings relating to ACERT and ISO in Ecocycle Lab
• Build up the ISO system for the Laboratory.
• Ensure all activities of Ecocycle Lab are strictly following ACERT, ISO 9K, ISO 14K, OHSAS 18K, OH&S Pyramid & Legal requirement.
• Participate in and plan for ACERT and ISO review and audits.

• Chemical University Degree
• At least 5 years lab experience
• Have knowledge of:
o Waste/ AFR analytical and organic chemistry
o Company complete product chain (waste-AFR-clinker-cement-RMX) and interrelations in products’ quality
o Clinker production process/ co-processing and impact of AFR utilization on quality
o Environment and risk assessment of waste/ AFR handling and laboratory work
o Regulations on waste/ AFR
o AFR Quality Management System
o Waste/ AFR Quality Control Manual
o Management of Changes procedure
• Good communication and presentation skills
