Dyelab Supervisor

Role Purpose:
To assist Dyelab manager in supervising Dyelab team and handling all color recipe formulation, new color development, sample orders, etc, targeted to achieve KPI (s) being set up for Dyelab

1. Main functions
• To support Dye Lab Manager in all Dyelabs operations and color sampling process in 3 shifts
• To manage and Coordinate the tasks of Colour Technicians, Dispensing Operators, material including greige yarns) preparation, sample dyeing operations for shift working and during shift handovers.
• To support Dyelab Manager in recruitment, training of the operators and technicians, suitable for Dyelab operations

2. Other responsibilities
• Health & Safety, House Keeping
• To supervise all the Dyelab team of strictly following Company Health and Safety regulations
• To carry out the audit activities in Dyelab for H&S and Quality systems (related to Dyelab operations)
• To maintain high standards for Dyelab housekeeping.

Productivity/Quality.
• To ensure all activities relating to DTM, Samples orders, colour matching, sample preparation and machinery operations are adequately resourced during shift so that Service Lead Time (SLT) performances are optimised.
• To supervise and ensure efficient processing for all DTM, SW , small orders, new color development , etc requests on daily basis
• To supervise and monitor team working allocation and workflow with the target of maximising operational efficiency and effectiveness and identify gaps in technical capability.
• To cooperate closely with dyehouse in achieving high RFT in Lab-to-Bulk and color pass/fail monitoring
• To monitor Dyelab Operation following KPI performance set up.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
• College/University graduate
• Hard-working character
• Good working discipline
• Pass in Color Munsell Tests for Color Formulation team
• Excellent communicate skills High level of attention to detail
• Highly developed analytical skills
Desirable:
• Good technical knowledge of dyeing methods, dyestuffs and auxiliary chemicals.
• Certificate with relation to textile and colour physics subject and have at least 1-2 year working experience in textile industry, thread industry is preferable
• Fluent Reading and writing English in the job area
• Fluent English speaking in working areas is preferable
• Green belt six sigma
