Position Summary

The Director of Sales for The Grand Ho Tram Strip will oversee and manage all group sales activities to maximize revenue potential in APAC market segments (Excluding Vietnam but primarily Korea, Japan and China). This position provides leadership to the sales team in order to position the property as the premier luxury hotel resort. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures, as well as within the framework and intent of the Vision of The Grand Ho Tram Strip property.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department and The Grand Ho Tram Strip in Asia Pacific market segments.
• Manages and monitors fiscal budget, operations and marketing strategies to produce both short term and long term profitability.
• Communicate the vision of The Grand Ho Tram Strip property and inspire commitment amongst Sales team.
• Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
• Participates in the development of The Grand Ho Tram Strip marketing strategies to increase volume, market share, and hotel revenue, monitoring current booking trends and modifying marketing strategies accordingly.
• Monitors department expenditures and assists in the control of costs.
• Provides input into the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure The Grand Ho Tram Strip’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
• Directs the reporting and apprising of results against planned objectives; coordinates sales staff activities; takes appropriate action to maximize sales.
• Creates awareness and actively sells and solicits all goods and services of The Grand Ho Tram Strip through attendance at trade shows and other industry functions. Develops marketing suggestions to maximize The Grand Ho Tram Strip occupancy and average rate during low seasonal periods.
• Provides ongoing evaluation and account analysis. Knows competitor’s product and pricing. Meets or exceeds room revenue and Food and Beverage quotas.
• Solicits/contracts group bookings, which are considered to fall within geographic or vertical market segment. Performs other necessary functions in relation to their groups on behalf of The Grand Ho Tram Strip.
• Travels as required by Department Head. Maintains close contacts with Travel Agents, Meeting Planners and corporate clients to ensure customer retention.
• Maintains excellent working relationships with other department supervisor, creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Closely monitor, analyze and communicate effectively the performance standards of the department, while providing metrics and regular feedback to staff regarding individual performance. Ensures efficiencies for continuous improvement.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

• Bachelor degree/ Master degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Business or Marketing Management
• A minimum of 5 -7 years management Sales experience in a premier luxury hotel/ resort in Asia Pacific market segments.
• Prior experience leading a Sales team and proven successful sales record at a luxury hotel resort is a must. Previous in knowledge of casino and sales experience outside of Vietnam is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of revenue management and pricing strategy
• Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to deal effectively with all business contacts and manage high-profile client relationships. .
• Ability to communicate fluently in the local language, and English of the workplace both verbally and nonverbally.
• Capacity to foster productive relations with peers and assure teamwork is the prevailing way to do business.
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to The Grand Ho Tram Strip property standards
• Must be able to work self-directed, handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
• Excellent guest service skills. Must have the ability to respond to handle difficult or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange and Outlook.
