Overall purpose
- Digital Specialist | Standardisation (Revit, Building Services)
- Digital Specialist | Standardisation (Revit, Building Structures)
- The Digital Specialist (Standardisation) works in close alignment with the Market Digital Leaders and Global Service Leaders to support standardisation and automation across the Built Environment Market - in accordance with the firm’s Digital Strategy

Key responsibilities
- Implementation of Global Digital Strategy through ownership and development of Built Environment Future Ready Revit Style Guide (BE Style Guide).
- Revit development and maintenance in line with Market Digital Leaders and Global Service Leaders (Structural | Electrical/ICT/Securty and Mechanical/Fire/Hydraulics) instructions.
- Revit family development and maintenance within the BE Style Guide.
- Production and maintenance of Technical Guidance Notes / Quick Start Movies.
- On line (ad hoc) technical support to global digital delivery teams using the BE Style Guide.
- On line coaching of teams and best practice seminars.
- Automation of Revit file ‘project seed creation’ in collaboration with our Forge Developers.
- Participation in internal Global Service Line meetings, Revit Working Group meetings.
- In particular, the following tasks are expected to be undertaken:
- Audit and monitor the constituent parts of the BE Revit Style Guide
- with a focus on data, classification and presentation consistency.
- Monthly issue of constituent parts of the BE Revit Style Guide BE Style Guide. Constituent parts include drawing sheet output, legend sheets, family index sheets, standard details and the Revit seed file / families.
- Identification and execution of automation opportunities for repetitive design tasks.
- Gap analysis of the functionality of the Style Guide model against the automation tasks identified.
- Correction of anomalies, identification of any improvements/ gaps, and address existing comments on the BE Style Guide.
- Documentation of standardised structural or building services systems in the BE Style Guide.
- Review of the Built Environment Market’s current tools and ecosystem.
- Scope, recommend or develop, and then set up / maintain an enterprise Revit family browser.
- Specify the next tranche of family creation with a focus on DfM and data integrity

Knowledge and skills
- 7+ Years : Elite Revit skills, ideally with Dynamo, Python, Navisworks and BIM360
- Concurrent skills in applying Revit to the design and delivery of engineering projects; Structures and/or Building Services
- Demonstrate the ability to use initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise at a senior level.
