Digital & New Tech Factory Manager

Role purpose

The Digital & New Tech Factory Manager’s role is to deliver digital and New Tech solutions for the company.

You will drive/conduct and oversee IT projects within the Digital (e-Projects/Digital Projects) areas that are medium to large in size and highly complex by applying technical expertise in IT project management.

You are in charge of:
• Managing the Digital & New Tech Factory team composed by Digital Developers
• Digital and Mobile App developments (in house or with providers)
• Digital and Mobile Application business support

Key Accountabilities

• Manage projects end-to-end through the planning, development, execution, and implementation stages, while adhering to MAP-Life IT project practices
• Manage the Digital & New Tech Factory team and the team’s project portfolio
• Responsible for working in cross functional teams to shape and drive solutions
• Digital and Mobile App developments (in house or with providers)
• Digital and Mobile Application business support
• Owning the development change within the online channel (in house or with providers)
• Responsible for quality of change, including the testing activities
• Deliver and transition projects into the Operations function, including setting up new processes for in-life management where appropriate
• Maintain stability of online assets
• Identify and implementing KPIs and project milestones
• Document functional requirements

1. Education: Master/ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field

2. Technical/ Professional/ Specific Competency Requirements:

• Background in digital project management working on campaigns from initial briefing to delivery
• Evidence of working with Agile project management methodologies
• Multi-tasker with ability to juggle many projects
• Agency experience with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Passion for IT, e-commerce and digital projects
• Creative flair and innovative approach
• Strong communication with excellent presentation, report writing and data analysis capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure, change direction when required and work on a range of client projects at the same time
• Experience of identifying business opportunities, building client relationships and seeking new business
• Good knowledge of the Development lifecycle
• Agile/Scrum knowledge and experience of working in this kind of environment
• Technical competence and understanding of Adobe Flash, JavaScript, Java, HTML5, HTML and CSS
• Experienced in a range of project management software including PRINCE2, Agile and Waterfall

3. Relevant Working Experience

• Experience of working with 3rd party development teams
• 3 years of experience must be in hands-on Java & J2EE/JEE software development
• 2 years of experience must be in each of the following: full life cycle implementation using SDLC methodologies; developing eCommerce and/or web content management applications; working with relevant WCM or eCommerce packaged solutions, including at least one of the following: Adobe AEM (CQ), hybris, Oracle/ATG, Sterling Order Management, Manhattan Associates, Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware/Cloud Craze, and/or IBM WebSphere Commerce; and web application design and analysis, design patterns, and object oriented design

4. Required Languages: Fluent English & Vietnamese
