To succeed as a furniture designer you will need design, creative and commercial skills. The position reports directly into the Technical Manager.
Duties:
• Studying, researching and planning various styles of outdoor furniture design in close collaboration with SALES in The Netherlands.
• finding ways to improve furniture items already manufactured in close collaboration with the Technical manager and Head of R&D
• Staying informed about design trends and developments in outdoor / garden furniture
• Selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic, textiles, rope, ceramics, wicker etc.
• Discussing designs with Sales, Clients and our factory base.
• Generating sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes
• Using software packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks and Photoshop
• Preparing initial 3D’s followed by detailed final designs
• Liaising with Head of R&D or Technical manager - about the process of construction or manufacturing
• Evaluating issues such as pricing and fixing costs, purchasing, safety, materials and manufacturing methods and techniques in close collaboration with respective departments.
• Using various tools to complete projects from raw materials to finished furniture items
• Organizing plans and schedules with respect to the availability of resources
• Attending workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
• Experience in industrial/product/furniture/interior design
• 3DS Max and AutoCAD skills are essential.
• Great visual presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate concepts with hand sketches to 3D models
• Design thinking, creativity and concept creation
• Have an understanding of construction, materials and manufacturing process
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible and works well in a team environment

When Vietnam opened its borders in 1993, We were one of the very first companies setting up production in Vietnam. In 2000 our production extended with the opening of the most modern furniture factory of Vietnam. With a 2000 m2 showroom we are able to show our customers the complete range of garden furniture and garden accessories.
