Design Interior

1. Quality/ Standard
• Produces accurate information and documentation, which meets all procedural and auditable requirements.
• All Files & Paperwork are stored appropriately, easily traceable and kept up to date.
• Demonstrates a high attention to detail.
• Ensures vessel design complies with relevant regulatory authorities, specifications and customer requirements.

2. Schedule/ Scope
• Remains well acquainted with the task schedule and regularly checks progress and upcoming deliverables.
• Completes tasks on or ahead of schedule (without compromising the output).
• Manages design inputs from third parties such as design brief, drawings, certification and manuals.
• Assessment of construction details and providing detail design solutions where necessary. Organize the issuing of drawings through the relevant parties

3. Communication
• Effectively and efficiently communicate through drawings, verbal and written means to all necessary parties.
• Proactively keeps all stake holders informed.
• Seeks feedback on performance and tasks.
• Communicates effectively at all levels. Forms professional relationships.
• Provides technical support as required.

4. Innovation
• Consistently exhibits a proactive attitude toward innovation and improvement and actively seeks alternate methods of performing tasks.
• Consistently works towards reducing wastage in the Austal product and environment and provides cost effective solutions to issues

QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENCES
Bachelor degree in Marine, Architectural, Interior Designer or equivalent.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience in high end architectural or marine interior design.
• Extensive experience with modelling software such as AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Autodesk Rendering and Rhino 3D
• Extensive experience with producing high quality renders and concept design with high degree of detail.
• A creative and artistic flair and complementing colours, materials, textures and lighting.
• The ability to convert a design brief and 2D drawings into 3D visual references.
• Technical knowledge of marine fitout products advantageous.
- Interest in the Marine Industry advantageous.
