Design Director

• Responsible for effectively working out the - and guiding consultants when outsourced- designs of several projects from Concept & Basic Design phase to for Construction phase.

• Ensure all design teams (architecture/interior/m&e/structure/landscape/ff&e) are fully aware of their scope of work and manage the planning for the (weekly) Design Deliverables within the overall planning of each project.

• Guide the Architects and Draftsman in developing the Architecture and Interior basic designs into Construction drawings, details, specifications and sample boards for inclusion in tender documentation.

• Pro-actively coordinate with contractors, suppliers and consultants for architectural solutions and material selections.

• Prepare and participate in all meetings and presentations related to the project.

• Set up, implement and manage design & draft standards, libraries and procedures.

• Ensure all design disciplines as Structure, M&E, Landscape and Operations are fully integrated within the Architecture and Interior Designs.

• At least 5 years of experience in the role of (junior) design director

• Solid experience in executing designs into operational buildings

• Have a passion for bringing a project from concept to for construction

• Serious detail and material knowledge skills required

• Guide, assist and review staff in developing their skills and necessary training.

• Work closely with the DOP-Design for the overall schedule, budgets and quality.
