Depot Warranty Manager

Reports to:
Hierarchical: Manager Warranty Implementation of country
Operational: Project Warranty Manager
Note: operational interaction with Project Testing & Commissioning Manager (T&C) during the Commissioning phase:

Responsibilities
• Define and implement the relevant management processes of warranty in depot
• Make sure the management processes are understood and followed
• Insure the availability of the trains under general warranty in accordance with the contractual requirements
• Management of the warranty team, the associated workload and skills, and manage all activities conducted in depot:
o trains troubleshooting and reparation,
o commissioning during serial phase after training by Commissioning & Warranty (C&W) team during the first deliveries
o modification implementation
o Including supplier reparation in depot
• Insure all reparation records in dedicated database and communicate with internal teams and customer as necessary
• Guarantee the technical configuration of the trains
• Supervise the availability of the consignment stock onshore (warehouse) and control spare and reparation logistics
• Make sure the Warranty Implementation (WI) team onshore contributes to the processes of Reliability Growth and technical feedback for future projects
• Insure good communication with other parties within the consortium and define the appropriate interaction process (information flow, contact people)
• Insure the good relationship and interaction with the customer depot Management and the maintenance management
• Secure the strict application on the depot of all the processes (HSE, Quality) related to warranty activities
• Control the WI competencies
• Support onshore validation activity
• Control and report depot budget
• Pilots and reports the indicators relevant for the activity

Knowledge and experience
• General knowledge of rolling stock and railway
• Good knowledge and experience (5 years minimum) of the environment of customer depot
• Good technical knowledge in mechanics and / or electrical
• Strong team management skills
• Customer oriented, result oriented and quality-oriented mindset
• Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural abilities
• Clear and transparent communication
• Knowledge and experience of the standard WI processes (Quality, HSE, …)
• English and / or French fluent
