Database Software Engineer (All Levels)

We are looking for a qualified Database developer to design stable and reliable databases for large enterprise system. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new scalable databases in cloud-base architecture.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze specifications to create, communicate, and implement technical design for applications
• Design stable, reliable and effective databases
• Optimize and maintain legacy systems
• Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
• Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
• Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
• Enhance, design, and implement applications designs
• Collaborate with other developers, quality assurance, production, and integration teams through the full software development lifecycle
• Provide technical mentorships to the other software engineers
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field

Experience and Qualifications: (required unless otherwise noted)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a database developer on professional/commercial projects, with an excellent work history that demonstrates a solid understanding of core competencies
• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
• Minimum 3 years of experience using SQL language and database like: MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Good object oriented design and programming skills and solid OO design as the foundation
• Agile development process experience; including unit testing, story creation, continuous integration, and close collaboration with product management and quality assurance
• Have a good understanding of Best Practices in architecting an AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud solution

Other desirable personal qualities and skills:
• Good hands-on experience with healthcare system and industry standards
• Overseas education and/or working experience is a BIG plus
