2, Job purpose:
Responsible for the daily operations and planning of Head Office Data Center, focusing on Database system

3, Job description:

- Provide strategy and administrate database system, fine-tune database and SQL performance. Focusing on Oracle database
- Implement and maintain backup solutions for all mission-critical servers. Execute Disaster Recovery drill to ensure that all Priority 1 applications are recovered within Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO).
- Align strategy with servers and network infrastructure, as a Total IT solution
- Design, implement and monitor automated scheduled jobs in the servers, ensuring that the jobs are executed correctly. Follow up and resolve production errors related to scheduled jobs within 1 working day.
- Plan, test and implement after-office hours server and network equipment maintenance and upgrade.
- Recover server / network errors within KPI / Service Level set by the company. Perform root cause analysis and propose cost effective solutions to eliminate problems or mitigate the risks.
- Prepare and update system configuration documents. All technical documents must be written in English.
- Manage other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor as required.

4, Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Application Team to perform infrastructure sizing to support business applications. Plan for annual server upgrades, and procurement for additional licenses according to business growth
- Prepare and submit operational reports weekly
- Provide coaching and training to team members

1, Work Experience :
- 4 to 6 years prior IT experience required, in which at least 1 years’ experience at supervisory level with significant achievements in managing Database system

2, Education :
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Professional certificate (Oracle DBA) will be a plus
- Technical Experience:
- DBMS, Oracle is preferred
- Fundamental knowledge in WAN / VPN / LAN / Firewall / VLAN using CISCO equipment
- Fundamental knowledge in Linux / Unix Servers. Experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux is preferred
- Symantec NetBackup and IBM tape library
