Data Analytics and Innovation Senior Associate

The Advanced Analytics and Innovation (A&I) team at Techcom Securities provides decision support across all business operations using data analytics and reporting including machine learning and optimization. A&I currently seeks a Senior Associate to develop analytical data assets, analysis & insights, as well as to bring innovative ideas and solution aimed at continually improving business performance and decision making.

A Senior Associate plays the role of Team Lead in Techcom Securities, reports directly to the Manager and has a team of Associates, Data Analyst and Data Engineer reporting to him/her.

As a Senior Associate you will be expected to carry following responsibilities:
• Spearhead the project. Interact with client, work on gathering client requirements, provide estimates and work on deciding project timelines.
• Create a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and, keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
• Take charge in developing a successful data strategy and establish the data framework for campaign execution in collaboration with internal teams, fostering creative innovation that delivers on our clients’ business goals
• Analyze the data in order to provide recommendations to improve the quality of the product and to grow the business. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Be an integral part of a team to develop statistical and machine learning models and building a robust platform to enable the application of data science
• Developing models spanning financial and investment products. These models range from calculating products yields, liquidity, profitability to evaluating risks exposures

• At least 7 years of experience in data analytics or data science.
• BA/BSc or above in a quantitative discipline: Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, Business Administration/Management or any related field
• Proficient in at least one programming language used for data analysis such as SQL, R, Python, experience with Machine Learning is a plus
• Technology implementations in, industry knowledge, and applications of at least one of the following focus areas: ETL/Data Integration, BI/Analytics reporting or dashboards, technology transformation, data analysis, systems optimization, and talent management;
• Managerial data architecture, data modeling and industry systems/processes;
• Data Warehouse/Data Marts systems, including leading ETL tools (ODI, SSIS etc.), Cloud based data warehousing solutions with leading technologies such as AWS or Azure..
• Ability to influence and gain support from your team and client stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication and excellent presentation skills
