Data Analyst

Vietnam Investments Group (VIG) is looking for an Event & Activation Lead for TapTap which is a project funded by VIG.

We are a next-generation loyalty, marketing and payment platform that connects market-leading brands with consumers through a simple-to-use, fully integrated and data-driven coalition loyalty program. Our solution enables consumers to earn and burn loyalty points conveniently by interacting and transacting with the brands of their choices across nation-wide merchant network that today reaches 30% of the Vietnamese consumers.

Our goal is to revolutionize the omni-channel shopping experience in Vietnam and set the standards for how brands should engage their customers by leveraging data to drive consumer insights, marketing efficiency and product personalization. We also offer technology solution to help established businesses enhance their existing loyalty programs with access to a broad, diversified portfolio of brands and rewards.

TAPTAP is a trademark of VUI Vietnam, which is a Joint Venture company that is owned by Vietnam Investments Group (VIG) and United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB). We are looking for a Data Analyst to support our data analytics and visualization activities. Internally, you will be responsible for analyzing high-value information and developing analytics dashboards to enable effective decision making across departments. Externally, you will act as a Data Consultant who advise our partner brands on how to make the best use of available data to generate insights and develop action plans. You will take ownership for the success of both our company and partners in leveraging big data to unlock business growth and build sustainable competitive advantage.

What you will be responsible for:
• Lead the development of and take ownership for our analytics and reporting environment.
• Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, product teams) and our partners to gather business requirements for data.
• Define technical specifications for databases to meet business requirements.
• Develop reporting dashboards to support brands in tracking business metrics effectively.
• Work with partner brands to conduct complex data analysis and drive business insights.
• Cooperate with relevant IT teams to deploy data-related infrastructure, platforms and tools.
• Review and validate data as it is collected to ensure integrity of data captured.
• Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
• Create or discover new data collection, analytics, visualization and modelling programs.

• At least 2 years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst or similar positions with direct experience in data analysis.
• Strong understanding of different types of databases and their relevant use cases.
• Experience in working with large datasets using SQL and common Business Intelligence applications (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiar with data modelling using programming language (e.g. Python, R) a strong plus.
• Detailed oriented, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to focus sharply on driving incremental value.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a high tolerance for ambiguity and just-do-it attitude.
• Ability to communicate complex business insights and influence others to drive results.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
