Customer Service Executive - DDSM

This position belongs to team DDSM - Detention & Demurrage Storage Management
This position works mainly with system and data/reports

1. Detention & Demurrage (D&D) calculation:
- Complete empty out-gate report
- Calculate D&D and list of D&D to be invoiced

2. Reconcile loading confirmation and D&D resource:
- Make sure all the laden on board are in the D&D list. If not, enter the figure by manual
- Filter the D&D resource with the list of gate-in laden from the port for the Demurrage/ Storage charge
- Check the free time column of D&D resource for correct type accordingly
- Check all containers have movements for D&D/ Storage

3. Copy and paste the D&D resource into the D&D template:
- Check each record to revise the ETD if they were rolled over from another vessel
- Check the free time approved on each charge

4. Check, correct and clean up D&D in system

5. Send list of DDSM charge to customer and issue invoice, reconcile manual data and charge occurred

6. Prepare D&D report, analysis and comments, propose process improvements, maximize D&D collections and revenues

7. Feedback emails: Check the date of pick up, drop off laden/ free time/ discount

8. Monitor D&D: communicate with Sales/ Pricing to file free time as per structure, communicate with regional office to follow D&D to be invoiced

Note:
- “Demurrage”: the charge, related to the use of the equipment only, the Merchant pays for carrier's equipment kept beyond the free time offered by the Carrier for taking delivery of goods in the port, terminal or depot.
- “Detention”: the charge the Merchant pays for detaining Carrier's equipment outside the port, terminal or depot, beyond the free time.
- “Combined Demurrage & Detention” (also called merged D&D): is the charge related to the use of equipment only, the Merchant pays for carrier’s equipment kept beyond the free time offered by the Carrier, when Demurrage and Detention is combined into one single period.

- Working experience: 1-2 years working experience in the FF or shipping companies
- Education: Bachelor degree, major in International business/sea transport/foreign trade... or similar ones
- Skills: good writing communication, interpersonal skill, problem solving, time management, able to work independently
- Personalities: careful, logical and data mindset, responsible,
- English: fluent in both speaking and writing
- Computer: good at Ms Office, Advanced in Excel
