Credit Manager

- We are looking for a talented individual to lead our country Credit team, a category defining Fintech startup that is backed by Tier-1 investors and partners. The role will entail the developing, as well as the execution of various loan and trade financing procedures. Specifically:
• Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives
• Properly motivate the credit and collections staff and provide for ongoing training of the credit staff
• Manage relations with collection agencies, credit reporting agencies and credit insurance providers
• In conjunction with sales and finance executives and the company’s legal counsel, determines and updates credit policies and procedures. Recommends sales agreements, installment agreements and/or financing arrangements.Recommend changes in the credit policy to risk committee
• Create a credit scoring model
• Monitor the credit granting and updating process
• Accept or reject the credit recommendations
• Personally investigate the largest customer credit applications
• Personally visit the largest customers to establish relations
• Monitor periodic credit reviews
• Monitor deductions being taken by customers
• Manage the application of late fees
• Prepare regular presentations on the overall portfolio and deliver results and improvement plans to the Risk Committee.

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy and/or Business discipline.
• Minimum 10 years prior experience in Senior Credit roles.
• Working knowledge on unsecured finance products will be an added advantage.
• Working experience of trade and supply chain financing products (factoring and reverse factoring)
• Solid understanding of lending procedures
• Negotiation skills
