Costing & Reporting Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Costing, Inventory and Fixed Assets

• Set up the standard costing and timely update of the standard cost changes when requested by Ansell senior management.
• Prepare and analyze the operation reports
• Maintain the standard costing.
• Conduct and lead full year physical inventory count and ensure the variance is timely adjusted.
• Lead team to conduct monthly cycle count of the inventory

• Work closely with the commercial and operations team for new product costing
• To support R&D new product standard cost simulation
• Ensure inventory cost is accurately presented in financial statement
• Assist the accounting team on monthly closing and ensure all costing transaction is accurately recorded.
• To perform monthly actual cost analysis (CDRM) for high runner product or ad hoc request from management.
• Prepare Capital Assets Completion Report (CACR) for every completed capex on-time
• Understand and review all new Sanction request for Fixed Assets and Write Off and submit through Finario.
• Perform FA sighting on the completed project upon acknowledgement from Project Owner prior to raise CACR.
• To prepare monthly Capex forecast.
• Lead fixed assets physical verification.
• Perform Reject Glove reconciliation by monthly to ensure proper handling and movement control of all gloves within plant.
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliation for inventory and fixed assets.
• Review and make necessary provision for inventory in accordance with GAAP.

Audit and Internal Control Compliance

• Work with external auditor for audited Financial Statements
• Ensure that all internal controls are in-in placed and lead the team to conduct internal self-control assessment in costing and reporting areas
• To perform internal control testing based on schedule given and ensure all control are in placed at plant level.

Forecasting and budgeting

• Prepare and analyze quarterly forecast and ensure timely submission of the forecast to Regional reporting team.
• Prepare and analyze the annual budget as per the instructed timeline and schedule

Reporting

• Prepare monthly analysis report including balance sheet, P&L, F4 reports and other operation reports
• Ensure accuracy and timely submit the monthly report to Regional reporting team
• Timely prepare the costing report as required
• Ensure timely reconcile the costing and inventory accounts
• Do and maintain reconciliation of inventory and fixed assets.
• To assist in preparation of management meeting presentation slide for monthly financial performance.

Others
• Other duties as appropriately assigned by direct supervisor
• To deputize as Plant Controller in his/her absence

Education : Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related fields. CPA/CIMA or Similar professional qualification is preferable
Experience : 5 -10 years working experience.
Competencies : Accounting principles, analytical, problem solving, business acumen, accuracy, interpersonal and communication
Other :
- Experience of working in a Multi-National Company – Matrix Organization
- Knowledge of ERP including e-Oracle, HFM, Hyperion or other Accounting Applications
- Knowledge of accounting principles for both local VAS, IAS, IFRS or USGAAP.
- Preferability for Manufacturing work experience
- Computer literate preferably in Microsoft offices
- English communication- written and spoken.
- Analytical / Good presentation skill/ Self-Driver
