* Working Location: Hanoi Office (Hanoi Office with up to 20% of time traveling as needed to Mong Duong, Cam Pha, Quang Ninh)

This leadership role will be part of the AES-VCM Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd. management team and will be responsible for stakeholder engagement strategies and managing all aspects that may impact on a business’s brand and reputation, in particular:

Communication/Branding:

• Own communication strategy for all external and internal stakeholders, building and sustaining external and internal visibility of the Company
• Develop and implement Communication Plan. Drive the entire public relations, internal communications, branding and advertising, media events, Company website and social media presence
• Manage all crisis communication
• Develop the content and messaging for the company
• Ensure stakeholders are recognized as partners in the development and delivery of the Company’s strategic goals.
• Promote Company visibility and reputation at public forums including secure external awards and recognitions for Energy Sector, CSR, Sustainability in FDI Sector
• Ensure the Company management and staff understand the value of, and are committed to, the genuine participation of stakeholders in the day-to-day operation of the business and services designed to meet external stakeholder’s needs.

Government/Public Affairs:

• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies including informing, consulting and involving them where relevant and evaluating the effectiveness of these strategies.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, public services to facilitate communication and help advance the organization’s business interests
• Manage stakeholder forums, meetings and special events
• Manage the measurement of stakeholder satisfaction and develop and implement strategies across business to find solutions to the findings.
• Advise senior management on issues and/ or risks to stakeholder relationships as soon as they arise so that risks can be managed more effectively.
• Manage the effective delivery and ongoing implementation of stakeholder contact management system.
• Overall outcome(s) of the position would be to build and maintain relationships with key external/ and internal stakeholders, develop and implement the Company’s stakeholder engagement strategies, and identify stakeholder issues and act appropriately to address these issues.


Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

• Lead the planning, implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of strategic CSR Programs in accordance with Company Mission and Values, local laws, IFC standard on social management and best practices, lead Sustainability agenda of the company including Sustainability Report, Sustainability awards and recognition in Vietnam and in the region. Promote company’s visibility through CSR activities
• Develop and implement Community Development Plan (CDP), Social Policy and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) including informing, consulting and involving stakeholders at Project area where relevant and evaluating the effectiveness of these strategies.
• Lead the preparation of CDP Biannual reports for internal and external audits

Job Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in communications, business or public relations with preferably 10 year experience in PR and corporate communications.
• Excellent language skills in Vietnamese and English.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office programs, PowerPoint.
• A mature person who is discreet, pleasant, support minded, energetic, enthusiastic and loyal.
• Strong understanding of stakeholder management principles and tools and ability to apply these effectively.
• Highly developed influencing and relationship management skills and ability to work closely with the team members and the community.
• Great team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• An effective communicator and team leader with strong analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work on high level strategy and hands on execution.
• Working experience in similar nature of projects and working environment.
• Corporate experience in stakeholder engagement/management, corporate communications and consultation.
• Experience in developing and maintaining stakeholder networks.
